Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GameMapsIRL mobile application, including its CarPlay experience (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

GameMapsIRL shows real-world maps with game-inspired visual themes, lets you search for places, preview routes, and follow turn-by-turn navigation with spoken directions on iPhone and in CarPlay.

2. Driving Safety

• Always obey traffic laws, road signs and the instructions of authorities. They take precedence over any direction given by the App.
• Do not set up routes, browse themes, search, or otherwise interact with the App while driving. Set your destination before you start, or ask a passenger.
• Use your own judgment. Routes may include closed roads, restricted turns, unsafe areas, or roads unsuitable for your vehicle. Never follow a direction that seems unsafe or illegal.
• Mount your device securely and comply with local laws on device use while driving.

3. Map, Traffic and Place Data

Maps, routes, traffic, place search and navigation are provided by Mapbox and its data sources, including OpenStreetMap contributors. Map data may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, and estimated travel times are approximate. The App is not designed for emergency services, aviation, marine navigation, or any situation where inaccurate information could lead to injury or damage. Game-inspired themes change the look of the map only; they do not change the underlying road data.

4. Game-Inspired Themes

Map themes, colors, icons, location markers and sounds in the App are original works created for GameMapsIRL, or are used under open licenses. Theme and collection names may refer to popular game genres or styles for descriptive and entertainment purposes. GameMapsIRL is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any video game publisher or developer, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the App. If you are a minor, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

6. License

Subject to these Terms and the EULA, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

7. Subscriptions and Purchases

• Plans. Access to the App requires an active subscription or free trial, offered as auto-renewable subscriptions (for example, weekly). Prices, trial length and features are shown in the App before purchase.
• Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. If you start a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Restoring. You can restore eligible purchases using "Restore Purchases" in the App's Settings.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under the App Store policies.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to violate any law or the rights of others; to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law; to circumvent the paywall, licensing, or security features; to scrape or store map, route or place data; or to resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, themes, icons, code, text, and graphics, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Map data remains the property of Mapbox, OpenStreetMap contributors and their licensors. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that map, route, traffic, or place information will be accurate.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING ANY ACCIDENT, TRAFFIC VIOLATION OR DAMAGE THAT OCCURS WHILE USING NAVIGATION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Termination

These Terms apply while you use the App. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9–11) will survive.

13. Changes to the App and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App, including individual themes, at any time. We may also update these Terms; the "Last Updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

15. Apple App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict between those terms and our EULA regarding App Store distribution, the applicable Apple terms govern that subject matter.
