This Privacy Policy describes how OneR Apps ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use Ingredient Scanner (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Profile information — Sex, age, skin type, dietary preference, food allergens, cosmetic sensitivities, chronic conditions, pregnancy/breastfeeding status. Stored locally on your device.
- Photos — When you scan a product label, photos are captured by your device's camera or selected from your photo library.
- Scan history — Saved scans (photo, detected ingredients, grade, warnings) are stored locally on your device.
- Subscription information — Managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not see your payment details.
- Anonymous analytics — App opens, screen views, crashes via Firebase Analytics. Does not personally identify you.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To analyze ingredients of products you scan and present personalized risk breakdown
- To remember your profile for future scans
- To deliver and improve features, fix bugs, and measure usage
3. Third-Party Services
Google Gemini (via OpenRouter): When you scan, your photo and profile summary are sent to Google's Gemini AI through OpenRouter for analysis. The image and profile data may be processed and temporarily retained by Google and OpenRouter. We do not associate the request with your name or identifiable information.
- RevenueCat & Apple In-App Purchase — Subscription handling
- Firebase Analytics — Anonymous usage measurement
- Apple Camera and Photo Library — Used only at your direction
4. Storage and Retention
Your profile and scan history live entirely on your device. Uninstalling the App removes them. We do not maintain a copy on our servers. AI providers may briefly retain submissions; see OpenRouter's and Google's policies for details.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- Edit or delete your profile at any time from Settings
- Clear your entire scan history from Settings
- Revoke camera or photo library permission in iOS Settings
6. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
7. Important Disclaimer
The App provides general informational analysis based on public ingredient data. It is NOT medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional for personal health decisions, especially regarding allergens, pregnancy, breastfeeding, medications, or chronic conditions.
8. Security
We rely on standard iOS protections, encrypted transport (HTTPS) for AI requests, and security practices of our service providers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. We will revise the "Last Updated" date and notify you in the App where appropriate.
